For me, Iceland is like this magical place… I fell in love with it even before our airplane was on the ground, the first time I went to Iceland. Because even from the sky, it was clear to me, this place… Is pure magic. Because of budget reasons, I never had the chance to go on a guided hiking tour, but damn I would love to! Being in Iceland makes you feel special, it reminds you what a beautiful place this earth is and we better take good care of it. I would love the explore glaciers, go ice climbing… I stopped reading my book to enter this contest, and now I am laying in the sun dreaming about the icy weather of Iceland. I hope I get the chance to explore it with you guys! Thank you for giving to females this amazing opportunity.

Hi Magdalena!
I am from tiny tiny Belgium ;). I’m a junior art director in an advertising company, so I am pretty creative. I love photography, design… But I don’t like staying behind my computer screen for too long, so beside the job, I love sports! I go boxing a few times a week, I picked up running during this corona crisis which I start to like again haha and a few times per month I go climbing indoors with a friend. I love going on hikes! I love the mountains. So yeah, that’s me š
Hope you are alright over there in the wonderful Iceland!
Virus free regards xoxo

Ruby and I are expats living abroad in Hungary. We are so fortunate to be able to travel so much, however, we usually are only able to go to a place once. When we last traveled to Iceland we felt connected to the nature, animals and vast views that surrounded us. I have never felt so calm and relaxed in a foreign country. Many long nights of cards and star gazing were how we soaked up all the time we had. You wont find to girls that would be more grateful to go back to the place they now call home.

As a female traveler, I already had the opportunity to visit Reykjavik in 2018. It was actually a business trip, so I visited the University of Reykjavik, as well. That is why I did not have time to join a bigger hike, but I really would like to! It is on my bucket-list is to go on a huge glacier tour, hike in the iced mountains and obviously to sit in a hot geyser. In my memories Iceland lives like a mysterious, Nordic, but very friendly place, where I enjoyed my time very much. I like to travel and I would like to support the WorldĀ“s Female Community of Travellers, because I think it is a very important thing to promote the meaning and benefits of the traveler lifestyle. In my opinion, travel adventures (especially on a cool place, like Iceland…) are giving good therapy to our soul, body and are improving our skills and knowledge. Hugest task to expand our horizon on the universe. But still nowdays, I think that there are more male travelers, travelling around the world because of many reason (better job-flexibility, salaries, and easier family management, etc.).
So, let’s GIRLPOWER the glaciers!
My dream would come true, if I had the chance to climb with you!
Thank you for supporting the female travelers!

Hi Magdalena,
I am from Hungary, from a university city, PĆ©cs. PĆ©cs is the most Mediterranean city of the southern part of the country with a long history. I feel lucky myself, that I can live here and survive this sensitive period. I am working in a Chinese Institute at the University, but now I have to work in home office, which is very new to me and it’s absolutely different to my “normal” lifestyle. I had to chill out and try to enjoy the days in my home with my adorable girlfriend. In this perspective, I’m lucky to experience this lockdown, because previously I worked a lot, obviously too much, which I could only understand now. So, I have the time now, to improve my relationship and learn about how to live together in peace, supporting each other through this time, since we don’t have to run somewhere all the time. Furthermore, I am a physiotherapist, so I meet a lot of different people day by day, which I definitely miss. Because of my job, I could feel myself valuable after a successful day. Now, it is strange and I have a little bit of an empty feeling. Besides my loved jobs, my passion is music next to traveling and exploring. I am playing electronic music, as a DJ. Because of the quarantine, my last party was at the beginning of March, which is not like what I’m used to at all. š I am 30 years old and I traveled a lot in the past 10 years. I always tried to manage my studies with scholarships abroad, or find a jobs in foreign countries, or to play music on international parties. My plans were led by my passion to get new impressions, experiences with new people, in a new situation at a new place.

I never got the chance to visit Northern countries before, but I imagine Iceland as a place of complete peace, and I can almost hear the soft wind, and the sound of ice crackling as I go through the pictures of this beautiful country. Exploring, and travelling was always at the top of my bucket list, but as a young female, I hardly felt safe, and protected doing it alone. The world is slowly changing and hopefully soon enough, we will be able travel around as carelessly and safely as any man does nowadays, without learning the tricks and tips to Krav Maga (not a disadvantage though :D). On that note, after this world situations ends, I want to take all my chances on travelling through the world!
Thank you for the wonderful opportunity!

Hi Magdalena,
I currently live in PĆ©cs, Hungary. Originally I’m from Transylvania, Romania, but I grew up near Budapest. Right now, I’m trying to concentrate on my upcoming exams, but the good weather and the lots of free time makes it even harder to concentrate. I enjoy going out, hiking, biking and not a day passes by when I don’t think back to the end of February, when we went snowboarding to Transylvania. If I could just go back for just 1 day!! But we actually took a very nice bike trip to the wonderful wine region of VillĆ”ny a few days ago and I managed to get a minor heat stroke on the trip, but it was all worth it! I can’t wait to visit again, when the wineries will finally be able to open! I actually like how the world slowed down a little and people can make time for their hobbies and passions, and they can actually spend time with their loved ones. I feel very lucky to have my girlfriend home for once, and that I’m able to spend time with her, since she works so much usually. On the same note, I for example went back, and started to rewrite a story I wrote 3 years ago. I enjoy sitting at my desk, sipping on some coffee and letting my imagination fly again. I also like editing photos, posters, and flyers and I can spend days with editing my assignments for uni. So even in the quarantine situation, I feel like I’m able to bring out the most of my time, but I also would like it to end already, because I could kill for a nice dine out with friends in a restaurant right now!

Since we were little , my best friend Caterina and I have loved the mountains. Every summer, we go hiking in the Alps to train for longer and more challenging hikes. Every year we set a different and harder goal , and we always achieve it. Our dream is to hike as many different mountains as we can during our life because hiking , surrounded by nature , makes us feel free and happy , like nothing else does, and reaching the summit is one of the best feelings we can have. I feel a strong connection with nature, and I couldnāt imagine my life without it. This is why my best friend and I are vegetarian and partecipate to the Fridays for Future climate strikes. We think that nature should be preserved in any possible way because it is the only thing that can keep us alive. When we are immersed in nature we finally feel relieved from the stress that everything else put on us , and our soul can find inner peace . Also, we love the cold weather and always cry of joy when we see snow, since weāre not used to it in Italy. Visiting Iceland has always been our greatest dream, hiking in the glaciers and seeing places where humans have not touched the beauty of the natural world.
Thank you for this amazing opportunity!

Hi Magdalena,
I am from Italy and I live in Verona, a city in the north of the country. Iām 18 years old. At the age of 14, I went to study in India without my parents and with my best friend. Iām currently attending high school in Italy and iām planning on going to university when high school is over. Whenever I have a free day , I always try to go hiking or skiing in the mountains near my city or swimming in a lake or cycling. During school time I train for track and field 3 times a week and do contemporary dance once a week. My track and field trainings are divided into two parts; the first one is at the gym where we build strength in our muscles and after that we go to the field for the actual running training . During my time in India, I used to workout every morning before school and I played soccer, did yoga and practiced indian martial arts. Also, I practice yoga and try to do some of it every day, in fact Iām attending a course to become a yoga teacher. What I love doing the most is hiking and I do it with my best friend since we were little. At the age of 8 we went to Spain and completed the Camino de Santiago de Compostela , which was an amazing experience that I wish to repeat. Every summer we spend a whole month hiking in the Alps and always reach higher summits. Recently I started playing the guitar and discovered that i love it. Also , one of my hobbies is reading . One of the activities I enjoy the most is climbing , even though I had a few chances to do it in my life. During quarantine I have been working out every day , reading and playing the guitar . I love travelling and I dream to get to see every different place one day and get to know all the different cultures and people of the world . My favourite cultures are the ones that have a strong connection with nature and the environment around them. I care a lot about the environment: I partecipate to the Fridays for future climate strikes and Iām vegetarian. The last trip I went on was to Morocco, in the desert. This trip really left me breathtaken , since I didnāt imagine how vast and calm the desert is. I spent most of the trip climbing up and down the sand dunes and never got tired of it. Seeing how people manage to get water and food in the middle of the desert was really interesting and made me realise that we donāt need so much for surviving and living a happy life.
This are some of the most important things about me .
Thank you for giving women this opportunity!

Me and my best friend Linda Crimi have always dreamed of traveling around the word. Every year we spend our summer in the Alps hiking and training for weeks immerse in the nature waiting for the big day where finally we could reach an higher aim. In fact we are really big fans of nature and thatās what connects us the most. We always participate at Fridayās for Future and we have been vegetarians our entire lifeās. Iceland really seems like a magical land to me and I think the beauty that attracts me the most is that is not yet touched by humans. Just immagine walking for miles and miles and no human trace be found, experiencing how powerful and beautiful nature is and how it really has the magical power of healing it self.
I love hiking mountains and looking for adventures. I love that feeling when you are hiking and you look around you and realize how small you really are, and how so wrong you are to think you are powerful because you realize how nature could destroy you in a second, you look around and step after step you have to command your self to keep going, not to drop on the floor, to save your breath for the little oxygen you need to keep on going. And finally after the long journey slowly slowly the top starts appearing in front of you and now finally you are at the top. You are in shock for few seconds and then slowly you start realizing that you have made it, you have reached your goal and you appreciate life a little more, nature really teaches you to be grateful for what you have. It feels like a new chamber in your heart is created and the beauty of the view slowly starts fulfilling it because you need time to process all the little details, you start feeling the wind and all the stories it carries, how the sun starts warming your skin.
Going to Iceland has really been my biggest dream, hiking, learning from nature, seeing the world, feeling alive and living new experiences, being happy just by looking around me and not depend on the artificial world.
Thank you for reading about my dream and giving this opportunity to all women, your effort is truly appreciated and an inspiration to be generous and giving beautiful opportunities to those who are not in the reach.
I wish the best to all of you ! Have an amazing trip in Iceland to who ever gets the chance.

Hi I am Caterina and I was born in Italy and I leave near Perugia a city in the center of the county. I am 18.
At the age of 13 I went to study in India and I lived there with out my parents, with my best friend Linda Crimi attending school, lived there for 4 years where I just finished my studies and now I will attend 1 more year of high school in Italy to complete my studies.

When ever I have free time my priority is to take a day of and go hiking in the mountains around my house, biking, skiing or skimming in cold rivers and rafting.
During school time in India I went training hiking the Himalayas and every morning wake up at 5:30 am to do hard physical exercises (military tipe) everyday for 4 years. I have been playing basketball since I was 6 years old, practiced soccer for 4 years and joined a team of truck and field for 3 years, I love running !!
In india I learned marshal ars suck as Jiu-jitsu, Gatka (a fight with swords). I also learned Indian dances and How to play Indian instruments. And other Indians marshal arts.
I practice Yoga and Meditation and I am a vegetarian. I am a certified Yoga teacher level 2.
At the age of 8 years old I went to Spain and completed the ā CAMMINO DE SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELAā and fell in love with the county.
Every summer I spend a all month hiking in the Alps
My main hobbies is playing sports but I love rafting, biking, reading, writing, snorkeling, climbing even though I have not that much experience, traveling. I also love dancing and playing Harmonium (an Indian instrument)
I love traveling and my dream is to see as many different places as possible to improve my personal knowledge about each and every different culture and religion. I want to travel when I am still young and have a lot of energy to hike and move around easily. To visit places difficult to reach and see the world with a different prospective. I keep my self in shape, eat healthy, exercise everyday and train hiking, to one day be able to hike Mountain Everest and visit Iceland, my two biggest dreams.
The last trip I attended was in Thailand and Malesia with my class.
This is some information about me.

Hey Magdalena!
I’m a 23 year old Australian who has a massive and passionate curiosity for exploring the great outdoors, travelling to unique landscapes and embracing all types of challenging adventures!
First of all, it’s amazing to see so many like minded women who all share the same love for travelling. Whoever is
chosen will have the week of their life!
I really enjoy my job as a Sports/Remedial Massage Therapist but in my spare time I have this constant need and desire to get outside of a small room and see the world! Some of my hobbies include:
Solo travelling, camping, roadtrips
Hiking
Marathon running
Snorkelling
Rock climbing
Kayaking
Yoga
And really just about anything that either strengthens my body or gives me that freedom to feel alive within nature!!
Before I had booked a trip for this year to visit the mountainous regions of Canada, Alaska, Iceland and Norway but unfortunately, this won’t be happening any time soon! I’m definitely daydreaming of a new plane ticket as soon as this pandemic is all over.
Thank you for this opportunity to adventurously travel throughout Iceland for females who love the outdoors!
Kind regards,
Alona

Iām an avid travel and adventure buff. I enjoy fitness, exploring, seeing the world one step at a time. Many times a year, I plan race-cations where I choose a place Iāve never been and participate in a marathon. I love seeing the world from a runnerās perspective. As a physical therapist, my goal is to get people to move and stay healthy. As a wanderlust, I seek to learn and experience the variety of cultures to open my horizons. The trip to Iceland would be a dream come true to combine my passions for sport and travel and gain a unique opportunity to show the beauty of the land to my friends and family.
admin
Hey Kristy,
I am pretty sure You would love to participate in a Laugavegur marathon, that runs through the Icelandic Highlands. The views are just spectacular; every 15 kilometres, the landscape changes drastically. I will write a post on this marathon for you.
Thank you for joining us.

Hey hey guys,
I have been traveling a bit around Europe so far and I absolutely loved it. The other day my older sister and I werde watching a documentary about Iceland and itās magical beautiful landscapes, and we both promised one another that this island, will be our next adventure. I already knew before about its energy giving hot springs, impressive Volcanos, and glaciers but I never got the chance to travel that far because I didnāt have the money for it. Hello Magdalena,
I am Julia, born in Barcelona (Spain), I write this comment in english so everybody understands:) I am currently living in Grenoble, in the heart of the French Alps. I just watched the video `Visit the beautiful Iceland` and I literally got goosebumps, it would be such an amazing dream to be part of this experience! I’ve never gone to Iceland and going for the first time with a profesional guide, that would show me these incredible places and with whom I could learn, would be the best! I’m an experienced ski mountaineer but I’ve never done ice climbing. I also love running in the mountains, enjoying nature as much as possible, rock climbing, cycling… I have a job here in Grenoble as a computer scientist that lets me organize my free time so I can do as much outdoor activities as possible and train everyday. WIth my 25 years I’ve never visited a northern country, I always have plans to do it, but closer projects always get chosen first. So, for me, this adventure would be the push I need to finally go there, to see, if possible, the Northern Lights, to walk in the glaciers, to run in the trails and do kayak in the sea, to dream, and make dreams come true, and to get to know you and another amazing woman, with whom I’m sure we’d make a very nice friendship! Finally, I thank you for giving us this opportunity and hope to be chosen!!
Un abrazo, encantada de conocerte!

Hi everyone!
I’ve taken some time to read your comments, and I promise, if you are lucky enough to win the trip your dreams will be fulfilled!
I have previously visited Iceland. The Icelandic landscape feels like you are walking through a fairytale or a professional photographers portfolio. Actually, the photos don’t even do Iceland justice – everywhere you look is just picture perfect.
I went to Iceland with a few friends for my 30th birthday. We hired a car, and drove almost all the way around in only a week. This is one of the reasons I’m desperate to return – we tried to squeeze so much into our trip that we forgot to sit back and admire its beauty. Also – driving during the winter season was the most nerve-wracking experience. Much more than any roller coaster I’ve been on! I remember one time, there was frozen water (lake or river – we couldn’t tell becuase everywhere was covered with a blanket of snow) both sides of the road, and we were unable to judge the depth from the car. The single track road was also iced over and as we made our way across, we could feel the loss of traction on the tyres. We fell silent. My first was clenched and my knuckles white, trying to release my anxiety. My mind was planning survival methods – if we fell into deep water! Then, I have no idea how much time has lapsed, we felt the familiar resistance of the road. The atmosphere in the car instantly changed to relief (and once again joy)
This time round, I hope to thoroughly take in the Iceland feeling of serenity, as opposed to simply visiting the sites. I want to thoroughly enjoy those soft pinks and blues in the early morning, and potentially the vibrant purples and greens in the night sky.

Hey Magdalena!
It was always my big dream to visit Iceland š I love adventures and I have never try glacier hiking and ice-climbing so far, it sounds it could be just fulfilled dream. I am so excited about it! I am 25 years old girl from Czech Republic, I love nature especially rocks and mountains and I like to climb on them (or at least I’am trying to š I also love challenges and I like to cross my boundaries because we only live once (maybe not but in any case it’s better to live every day as if it were our last day). I’m not afraid to go my own way and I hope that this adventure will become part of my journey! In any case, I’m very happy to have discovered this blog because it looks very inspiring for me š
Aloha and best whishes to you! ššæ

Wow, I am always cooking up fantastical trips to faraway lands with magical views. then I watched your video and just felt this absolute certainty that Iceland has to be in the nearest of futures! I knew it was stunning (from my endless binges of mountain escapes on YouTube) but I am not sure I had realised quite how versatile and BIG everything was!
I am a summer Mountain Leader in North Wales, also surrounded by beauty and I love where I live. I have spent so much of my time in the mountains here and now much like yourselves am lucky enough to share my passion with others. However waiting for decent winter conditions here in the UK so I can progress into this winter wonderland has been challenging … actually almost impossible. I often scour the internet for winter deals but the opportunity to head out somewhere this beautiful and try something new for the first time blows my mind! I would absolutely love to join you guys! Its just me and my 3 kids, so I only get one trip away each year to indulge my own hobbies and passions which is more than a lot of people I know (the rest of the time I drag them with me on mountain adventures). I often look into breaks away like this but unfortunately self guided trips are usually only within my budget so I stick to what I know mostly within my remit. Climbing, scrambling and fell running are my hobbies. Surfing is the one thing I love to do but dont do enough – my top favourite ever surf film is ‘under an arctic sky’ -have you ever seen anything that takes your breath away like it!
Ladies -thanks so much for offering this opportunity. I hope I make the cut but whoever does you are offering the stuff of dreams! That is awesome and inspiring : )

Hi Magdalena, hi everyone,
Amazing blog the one you have here! I have been trying to go to Iceland for a while. I was unsure about the best time of the year to go (June with its long days, September with a bit less of water everywhere, deep winter for feeling the real cold and darkness).
If we are the lucky ones of the contest, I hope I will be able to finally visit Iceland with A, who I haven’t seen for over two months due to confinement (tomorrow for the first time in 59 days we will be allowed to practice some individual sport) and airport closure.
Are the photos in other websites of the eye of the world real?
All the best,
M
Vanesa Alcalde
First of all, congratulations for your profile, your blog, your job and also for the contest.
My name is Vanesa, I’m from Spain and one of my passions is traveling. I use to travel alone, but just because I feel free and I don’t feel pressed of just sightseeing and take pictures. Of course I like sightseeing, but what I really enjoy is feeling the culture of the country that I’m visiting, and also to try new experiences. I think I’m constantly looking for my limits and I always try to avoid fear and go further than my previous limits.
That’s one of the thing that shocked me more about your add of this trip to Iceland. I have never thought about doing ice hiking… But why not? Might be a great and unforgettable experience!! And I clearly think Iceland might be magical, I think is country that cannot be compared with another one.
I could keep writing for a while, but I think it’s enough for an introduction hahaha
Thanks for everything, you have a new fan here š

Hi Magdalena and anybody who reads thisš As I was reading your story here Magdalena and also all the comments about all of you ladies, I felt very inspired and happy. It would be great pleasure to be part of interesting community of female travellers and sport enthusiasts like this!
Doing this trip to Iceland sounds like a dream to me. Huge experience, big challenge, exploring the beauty of nature, trying new sports, finding new friendships and also digging deeper in my own soul. Everything I seek and all i wish for.
Let me introduce myslef now š I am 28 years old and from Czech republic. Traveling and all kinds of sport is the fuel for my soul. I have been doing dancing (street dance) for more than 10 years, I do yoga, hiking, skiing, fitness, running.. I love roadtrips but also to stay at 1 place for longer time and explore. Mountains and also the beach. I lived in Spain for 1 year and also in Colorado, USA for 3 years from where I got back to Czech republic few months ago. Except for Czech and English I speak Spanish and learn more of French and Portuguese.
I hope you dont mind 1 more information about me that I would like to share and it is more personal one, but I feel like I do not mind sharing in this community:) I have been always into traveling and exploring.. but now I feel like that I used to do it in a bit superficious way, as I was not paying much attention to my inner voice and my soul. That I was not giving it everything from ME, that I did not connect to myself 100%. It is hard to explain. But when I was living in Colorado, an incident happened to me that opened my eyes. I almost lost my life, I was a victim of attempted murder and it crushed me for a while. But I became stronger. I am saying this because it is a part of me forever now but I believe that not the victim part but the getting stronger part. I feel like I am able to follow my real ME better now. I believe that everything is body+soul together. No sport is just the body working out but also your inner voice connected to that. I believe this trip to Iceland would be for me or any of you amazing body and soul thing ā¤ļø
I hope I did not confuse you and mix everything together, I just felt like it would be good to share my whole experienceš
I am looking forward to read more about all of you and get inspired!

Hey Magdalena, and whoever else is reading!
As many female travellers, I started one day travelling, and got addicted ever since. Even if my studies (architecture) donāt leave me a lot of time to be free to travel, I use every vacation to hop on the first plane and go exploring somewhere new! I have started only 2 years ago, and now I have alreasy been in 16 countries. Iceland for me is a dream. One of my friendsā love for travelling started with his trip to Iceland. And ever since I watched his video about his trip, I have been dreaming of this beautiful country ā¤ļø I have been to Finland, Sweden and Denmark, and broke my records in surviving in very low temperatures! It was -32ā¢C once! So now I can also say āthe cold never bothered me anywayā š
The one thing that was holding me back till now is the fact Iceland is quite expensive and I need to save up some money to go visit it. So this is a very good chance for me to finally be able to go see this magical place. I hope you consider me š and thanks a lot for this spreading of positivity, that is so much needed in this crazy period.

Hello,
I found this blog and its different accounts, and I think they are very good and interesting, thanks for sharing with us all of this amazing things.
I“m from Spain and I“m 18 years old. Since I was little I“ve loved travelling, and thanks to my parents I had the opportunity to do it, as they introduced me to it and we could visit some countries together. Some time ago I started to feel very curious and looking forward to travel by myself and visit more places, but I need to work so I can save money, and I cannot do it during the school year, because I go to class in the mornings and in the afternoons I learn music in the conservatory. I thought I could work this summer to travel in August, but I had to cancel these plans because of the actual situation.
I“ve never been in Iceland, and I would love to go because every time I see it in social media I feel it is a magical place and I I like it so much that I know I“m going to go sometime in my life, but I would really like to go with you because of the type of tourism you“re offering and the incredible experience that seems. My favourite sport is hiking and I feel very connected with nature since I was little, so I think it works 100% with my personality and my ambitions.
I also would like to say that I feel (and my parents too) very capable of doing all of this stuff without someone I already knew, despite of my age. I“ve always been very independent and I like to meet new people.
Another aspects about me is that I love music (I play the violin), reading, arts… I am easy going, creative, curious and positive, always looking for adventure and new experiences.
Thank you very much for giving this opportunity, I will be fullfilling a dream if I could get it.

Hello, Iāve just posted a comment but I canāt see it, so I hope Iām not writing again all of it, if itās truly publishedš

Hello there,
Your offer just sounds too good to scroll by and I had to jump on it. Since I was young, I have always wanted to go on an extreme trip to kick off the travel bug (no pun intended). I have talked about going to Iceland with friends since it has been a dream of mine. I am from a ranching family in northern British Columbia (Fort St. John) so I have always had a passion for the great outdoors. Being able to spend time backpacking in a place that magnifies the beauty of northern living would be an experience to remember. Iāve always enjoyed extreme activities like ocean kayaking, rock climbing, riding horses, hiking, etc. So I am a tough cooking that fell in love of the activities you have listed on this trip.
Iām a very down to earth person and I get along great with others in team environments as well as one to one. Being a part of an all womenās trip would be an inspiring experience that I could represent with other empowering women.
Thank you for this offer you have given us,
Alexandria
Rafaela
Hi, my name is Rafaela I’m 20 and I live in Poland, and that’s about it of the basic information. XD My sister, friend and I would love to travel to a beautiful country and do things we never experienced before. As soon as I saw ice climbing I got excited, I have never done it before but I have seen plenty of videos of people doing it. Now I’m going to be honest Im a bit scared of heights. XD I look down and feel my heart start beating really fast and to me that’s one of the best feelings in the world. I love when the adrenaline kicks in.
Usually when I say that people start looking at me weirdly. XD One thing that I always wanted to see is the Northern Lights in person, it’s like the same dream that Rapunzel had in Tangled but instead of floating lights I wanna see the Northern lights. XD I know I should stop making Disney references I mean how old am I, but I’m just really excited and sometimes I talk to much. But also I know when to keep my mouth shut and enjoy the view,
and don’t worry by the time we get to the top I’ll probably be to out of breath to talk anyways. If I ever traveled there I’d probably never want to leave and neither would my sister and friend. My friend is just as crazy as me when it comes to doing amazing activities like climbing and hikeing, and for my sister it would be an amazing opportunity to take a break from all the hard studying and working she has been doing for the past 4 years. A trip like this is, even though it involves a lot of amazing activities that will probably leave us tired by the end of the day is one of the most relaxing thing in the world.

I’m 22 and I live in the UK. I fell in love with Iceland when I went with my family when I was 11 years old, but have not had to opportunity to go back as an adult and do all the hiking, climbing and glacier hiking that I now have a passion for. Traveling and hiking are two of my favourite things (trying new food is a close third), being in isolation is tough on everyone and not being able to escape to the mountains is particularly upsetting. I would love to go back to Iceland and rekindle my love for it and be able to do all the things I couldn’t do when I was there last. I would love to share this experience with a friend I studied in Canada with, as we both have a passion for the mountains and loved living so close to the Rockies and hiking at every opportunity we had. I love being part of a group and finding new friends to experience things with and would benefit from this amazingly jam packed week!
Jasmine
Hi Magdalena,
I’m 21 and currently living in Manchester, UK for university. Last year I joined the hiking club mostly because I was missing the open air of home (and walking my dog), though have gained so much more than a few walks as I had expected. Hiking completely took over my life, a lot of the reason is because of the great people I have met, but also because there’s nothing quite like the feeling of getting to the top of a tough climb and taking in the views (or not depending on the weather! – but the sense of accomplishment is still immense). Lockdown has paused these trips obviously, though I am counting down the days to get away from my desk and back on a climbing wall and into the mountains!
I’m often described as quite a bubbly character and always bring my energy along on trips, as being in nature seems to fuel me. Traveling has always been an important aspect of my life, I’m constantly looking for new places to explore and learn about, I feel its vital for personal growth. I visited Iceland in 2015, though getting stuck in a blizzard very much prevented us from seeing all we were there for, including the beautiful glaciers and waterfalls. This experience is such a dream that I would be delighted to partake in.

Hello! My name is Shaista, I am a 20 year old female from Ontario, Canada. I never really began exploring the world until last year. Just due to financial situations I didnāt travel much. Last year I ventured the furthest I have gone, to Banff, Alberta. It was the most incredible experience for me and having been there for a week I discovered there was so much for me to explore now. I leave next week to go tree planting in Alberta which I am very excited for! A bit about me, Iāve always loved biking and brought that into my adult life too, living in an area with many waterfalls and hiking trails is incredible because I get my daily dose of nature while still living in an urban area. Iām super motivated and often a bit competitive (in a healthy way) and want to do my best in every situation. I love the meditative effects of being in nature and would love to experience that with you in Iceland.
If I were able to go on this trip with you I would bring along my friend Emily who is very passionate about climbing and travelling and is just as hardworking and motivated as I am. I feel we both need an experience together to go somewhere new and that will allow us to do things we could never do here in Southern Ontario.
Thank you so much for reading! All the best, stay safe during this time.

Hello Nordvac!
I truly feel that this experience would be life changing! My closest friend, that is basically like my sister, and I are in some way connected to Iceland. We both our environmental activist who fight for change in peopleās everyday actions, and we do everything in our power to be as sustainable as possible. We know that Iceland is all about nature and wilderness, and that is why this opportunity would be one in a million if we could experience, yet again, the incredible environment. We have both been to Iceland together two times, and stayed in Hofsos, and another place down south. Even though that we have already experienced this magical place I believe that we should be able to keep being inspired by nature and using that to create change. The simple yet incredible life in Iceland is something that inspires me to live more sustainably all for our planet. Lily and I are 13 and 14 years old, so we donāt know if we are eligible for this commitment, but sometimes it is worth a try to put yourself out their towards an amazing experience. We both currently are living in a small village in Budapest where our life is surrounded by greenery. We are constantly outdoors exploring by running biking and hiking. I hope that you take our reasons in a way of two passionate environmentalist who love to explore the beauty of our planet. Thank you for this opportunity! -Ruby Gardner

Hi Nordvac!
My girlfriend (and travel budd) and I are 20 and 21 years old and we are both from Barcelona. We really love to travel and practicing outdoor sports. Our bucket list is reallyyy long but our number one place to visit is Iceland. The 15th of March was our anniversary and we were going on a Windoor experience, sadly they cancelled our plan because of this pandemic. We don’t live together so we are planning a lot of things to do after this alarm state. We want to experience new adventures, travel a lot, make new friends, clear our minds and be as happy as we can :). This is our dream destination, we are ready to enjoy it.

Hi!! Really loved this post about Iceland and the great video. Now I have 100 times more interest on going to Iceland! I’m 19 years old and since I was 10 one of my biggest dreams has been seeing northern lights, it would be great.
I love your blog and the content you upload, keep it up!

Hello,
Hiking holidays has always been one of my favourite ways to take a break from life and escape to the wilderness. The pandemic forced me to make the heartbreaking decision to return home early from my year abroad and abandon plans for hiking in the Rockies and Newfoundland. Loosing those opportunities just as I felt my horizons broaden is so frustrating and the chance you are offering here is inspiring. I have never visited Iceland and have only heard people talk about it as a unique and beautiful place to visit and I would cherish the experience of visiting there.
Monika
Hello Magdalena!
Iām Monika, I am from Poland but from January I live in Tenerife, came here to do my divemaster course. Besides being divemaster, I am a beginner climber, tattoo lover (have already 4 of them, one is symbolizing my friends that I met during divemaster internship). Love skiing, and dream about skiing in Iceland. Iām posting my activities as lycaenidea on Instagram. I can explore Iceland from three completely different perspectives: diving, climbing, and skiing. I also do CrossFit and a lot of gymnastics. Professionally I am a front-end developer, I changed my career to be free and be able to travel because life without traveling is missing the most important part for me. Traveling means living. I visited Teide with my Friends and visiting the volcanic island will be a great life experience that will make my dreams come true. A mix of different kind of energies and ways of exploring it, it is something that is pushing me to Iceland. I also travel to explore myself so exploring so powerful place makes it even more important.
Hope to see you soon.
Monika

Hi! My name is Cristina, Iām a 19 year old girl from Madrid, Iāll write this in English so everyone can read it and fully understand it.
When I was 15 my father gave my siblings and I the amazing opportunity to visit Iceland, to experience the incredible breathtaking landscapes and amazing culture that Iceland has, even thought we didnāt visit many places over there, that trip changed my life, It made me realize how fragile nature is and how we should be way more cautious about how we live our lives, I started reading about zero waste lifestyle, and trying to make my family as conscious with earth as I was (My final school project was a video about how we need to change our way of living so we can tackle climate change! https://youtu.be/0GHaN7bnn6A ) thanks to that trip my family has cut their meat ingest by almost 60%, we recycle things to give them a second life…and thatās another thing I LOVE about iceland and itās how careful they are with the environment , I wish we were like that in Spain, this year I planned on taking a gap year and traveling by my own as an Au Pair (since I donāt have a lot of economic support being an Au Pair is perfect to fully visit a country), I wanted to go to Iceland for six months and to China for another four more so I could learn about both of their culture before starting college, but because this pandemic started unfortunately I couldnāt do anything and had to stay in Madrid š but I canāt wait to start traveling by my own! I really want to be as independent as I can, my friends think Iām crazy about wanting to travel by my own, but my mom has showed me that as a woman I can do anything I want, She was the strongest person Iāve ever seen, and Iām so glad she gave me her enormous will and desire to live, I really want to visit Iceland and to do all these incredible activities listed on this trip, it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity!
Thank you so much for reading me!

Wow, this just sounds like one of those unbelievable, dreamy adventures, whoever wins is incredibly lucky š
After quitting my job in January to follow my heart and travel more, like everyone, I’ve had to readjust all my plans.
Iceland looks absolutely beautiful, one of my closest friends is from Iceland and I love hearing her stories of the country and seeing all the beautiful pictures.
I’ve been lucky enough to isolate in the Lake District, UK where I can walk in the countryside, write, draw and practice photography.
I’d love the opportunity to join this trip and look forward to following your journey on social media.
Best wishes, stay safe.

Hi Magdalena,
I love Iceland since my visit in 2009. The nature there is awesome and I would be so happy get back to Iceland soon.
An outdoor adventure in Iceland š®šø would be great for me. Since my first child was born in 2013 my outdoor adventures is a Little lower then before. A timeout in Iceland would be a great break.
For a little Iceland feeling every day I have my Icelandic horse here in Germany but I would love it to ride an Icelandic horse in Iceland again.
I like to see your adventures on Instagram and would be so happy to be a part of it for some days.
Best regards from the south of Germany
